Cross Nats!
Cross nats are this weekend, out in Rhode Island. It feels kinda funny to write about a race that I'm not going to be at. And also that I can write the last sentence and not feel sad that I'm not going to be there! After 2 weekends not racing, I thought I'd be jumping out of my skin and wanting to race again, but... nope.
All in all, I had an awesome season, but I'm glad it's come to a close. I didn't quite reach the little personal goal I set, which was to win one of each: a mountain bike race, a crit or RR, a track race, a cx race. But in reality, that wasn't really a well-thought-out goal. I don't need to win a race to know that I'm improving and having a ton of fun. (At least that's what I keep telling myself). And one of the highlights of my season was a race I didn't even finish -- the elite crit at Downer's Grove.
I could write about other highlights, but, wait. Looks like I already have! Funny, huh?
So I'll just say: GOOD LUCK to LINDA (go black and white) and everyone else who is going out to CX nats in Rhode Island. And good luck to Steve and all the people in New England that don't have to travel across the country to get there!

getting accepted on LGR is by far your biggest accomplishment.
so what if you didn't have an amazing season... wait a minute....
you won 9mile.
you won ken woods.
you won state championships at the track.
and you beat me at a cx race (which is totally winning)...
...and then you got hired by the sweetest team in the midwest.
sounds like you met a few goals to me!
have fun when you are totally whooping up on the pros next season.
...i'll hand you bottles.
Thank you Dis - Nice recap of my season. It's an honor to have been accepted.
Jennifer Stebbins of Dartmouth took 4th in the collegiate and women's U23 races!
