The Coolest 24

So while I normally would have hung out and down some crits this past weekend, instead I had managed to get myself onto 24-hour team. We raced in Cool, California, for 24 hours, relay-style. I gotta say, 24-hour racing on a team of Keith, Sean, Todd, and Keri (race support extraordinarre) is nothing but a good time! But seeing all the solos out there got me thinking that I should try to do a 24 myself to induce a bit more suffering. I'm planning...

We scraped together a few photos:

Oy. Nice shot of me taking the high line. I swear that was the only way to get up & around.

Great race HK. Once again you rocked it. Think you caught the fever and I don't think more cow bell is the only prescription. I dare you to do a Solo 24 before the end of the season.

You even inspired me to get some road time in to get myself into better shape. What is the world coming to!

Love the one of you peeking out from among all those tough dudes. Where were the other women racers by the way?

You know, some of us just aren't really happy until we're suffering.
So Happy Suffering to you, Kid.

Karla you're a MONSTER. In a good way! I'd be happy to crew for you as long as I'm not 'racing' the event. Just give me the heads up in advance. I'm not planning on either of the Laguna Seca races at this point...
