Big News
So big, in fact, that I'm blogging midweek about it! What could it be?

Well, some of you may remember last summer, when I decided to take part in the men's cat 4/5 races at the track. All was good for a while in the nice miss-n-out we were racing, until I ran into Tuffy's wheel. At which point, of course, I slid down the track, picking up a whole slew of splinters all over my back, thigh, and shin. Read my thoughts about it here.
I had a couple different people work on those splinters but there was one in my leg that didn't want to come out. So I left it there. Forgot about it, basically. I'd check it out every once in a while, and it was always still there, under the skin, just chillin. Until yesterday, as I got out of the shower, looked down, and there it was, peeking out! Almost sadly, I swept it up with my finger and immediately started taking pictures, of course.
It almost saddens me that the track at Blaine is no longer physically a part of me. Ha.

Also, I've become one step closer to being able to casually say I'm "from" California. I put the Cali plates in the Luther Hopkins Honda frame, on the Echo. Think I didn't?
And, my cousin visited last weekend. Coincidentally, we both happen to have great hair. I think that's all the news for now!

Dood...I totally pushed you off of your bike and then laughed at you. Think I didn't?
So that splinter was in there for, what, 6 months?! Geebus. You should put it in a locket or something!
OUCH!
ok, i am squirming here. and wondering why i'm such a wimp...
oh friend. i miss you. teradactly screams and/or library streaking maybe?
looks like you'll have to come back and get some more slivers so you don't forget us! I had one in my calf most of winter and it just disappeared one day, I never got to memorialize it like you did! Oh the inhumanity!
