Too Bad for Da Bears
They lost.
But it sounds like LGR is winning again, which matters far more than Da Bears ever will.
I've finally moved into my apartment in Oakland. It's pretty sweet, I gotta say. But I have been totally spoiled living in Minneapolis. In the Twin Cities, you can live with 2 or 3 people in a house (HOUSE) with bedrooms, kitchen, living room, BASEMENT, yard, maybe a garden, garage, off-street parking, etc. I took it all for granted. Not gonna happen here. My bikes will live in my bedroom and living room. But we do have a little garden in the back.
Today I got a bed. Dan (roommate) and I borrowed a friends' truck and went on a mission to pick up 2 mattresses, 2 box springs, and 2 steel frames - at the same time. Incredibly, it all fit and we are no longer sleeping on the floor. Nice! Also, that means that I have a nearly new nice thick air mattress for anyone that comes to visit.
And, of course, the riding is still amazing.
I went out for 4.5 hours yesterday with Shana down near Palo Alto, and another couple hours today up here in the East Bay. It was around 50 or 60 degrees the whole time. I think I'm going to like it here. As soon as I manage to extract my camera from the pile of stuff in my room, I'll get some photos up.
