Rain = no track = how sad

Normally, I like rainy days. They're kind of soothing, relaxing, etc, and it's always nice to curl up inside when it's raining. But today I really was pretty disappointed in the weather, because it meant no track racing. Not to mention my drive home from work - the Civic barely made it through some of the lakes on the highway. And instead of racing, I spent my evening texting.

Tuesday was a good ride though. Stratton and I headed out to Wayzata after work. All in all, we had a great ride, but I think the best part was on our way home, we were just piddling along on the Cedar Lake Trail, when two guys totally shot past us. They were hammering. Then we heard some more people coming up behind us, going at a quick clip. They were all yelling, "on your left, coming through, etc," when we heard the sound of bike hitting bike and bike flying through the air, and someone hitting the ground. Oh no. I don't know if I've ever seen someone bite it that hard on a bike path of smooth pavement. It was tragic and comical at the same time (pretty sure the guy was OK).

Then yesterday, MAYNARD came and visited me! My first friend from the east coast to come visit me (hint, hint, friends from the east coast). We rode some of my bikes into uptown for dinner at Fugi Ya and managed to avoid getting hit on the way home thanks to my spotlight. Maynard, what else was I supposed to blog about?

The best part about that dude crashing was when his buddy yelled "we got a man down!".
